I began my meditation journey in 1996 in Portland stumbling upon a Taoist meditation group that led me to a path of
self-reflection, inquiry and healing. Throughout the years I've explored various styles and techniques of Eastern traditional
meditative practices. I have attended several vipassana( silent) retreats and have a regular sitting practice.
My 200 hour yoga teacher training
was under Bodhi Yoga International where the main emphasis of our studies was meditation and contemplation of the satipatthana sutta, a mindfulness discourse from the Buddha. I led a local meditation group, Whitefish Insight meditation for 7 years and have offered day retreats in the Flathead Valley.
For me the heart of the practice is stillness, and having the capacity to know and access this place of true inner peace and
calm that exists within each of us.
Private sessions are available in person only on Mondays and Wednesdays evenings

Initial Private Meditation Session- 1 hour
Private meditation session Introductory session is 1 hour. You will learn basics for setting the foundation for a meditation practice. Props and posture to settle into the body, mindful and yogic breath techniques, concentration skills and cultivating deep awareness and stillness.
This first session to also understand your needs and goals of establishing a steady meditation practice.
These sessions are available only on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.

Meditation follow up private sessions
A 40 minute private meditation session. This is to continue and to build on the foundation from your Initial Meditation session.
Breath and body awareness, noting techniques, vedana bhavana, loving kindness and other practices to be explored.
This is available Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
